About Me

I grew up in Nebraska (Go Cornhuskers!) before attending Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. There, I studied Political Science and English and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006. While a student at Westminster, I interned with the Helsinki Commission where I served as the Head Intern to the U.S. delegation of the 2005 Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly, held in Washington, D.C. This experience was pivotal in directing me to study international relations and international organizations, in particular.

After undergrad, I attended the University of Iowa where I completed my Ph.D. in July 2012. During this time, I had the particular honor of working as the Program Assistant to the Journeys in World Politics program for Professors Kelly Kadera and Sara Mitchell, from 2009 through 2011.

Now, I am excited to be beginning my career at Middle Tennesse State University, where I teach International Relations and Research Methods.
